OT2 Powered Fulton County, GA wins Top-10 Digital Counties Award.
The top-10 most technologically-advanced, cutting-edge county governments in the United States have been named by the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties (NACo) in their 2004 Digital Counties Survey.
The Digital Counties Survey is one of a series of studies conducted throughout the year, by the Center for Digital Government, which examines how governments are applying IT to effectively serve their constituents.
"The 3,066 counties in the United States vary greatly in size and population," said Larry Naake, executive director of NACo. "The Digital Counties Survey awards effectively demonstrate how county governments of all sizes across the country are positively applying technology to deliver quality services to their citizens."
Listed in the population category of 500,000 or more is Fulton County, Georgia. Fulton County has been delivering and managing citizen services using OT2 since 2000 and recently integrated OT2 with AutoDesk MapGuide.
"We are pleased to be able to contribute toward this encouraging trend where a commitment to delivering quality service to the citizen is being demonstrated through the use of technology in government," said Larry Wilcox, CEO of UC Hub. Adding: "I believe all of our customers are winners."
